Cold air therapy Treatment
The Linde CrioJet Air supports laser treatments applied to the skin (e.g. hair removal) by very fast and extensive cooling of the skin.
With its CrioJet Air system Linde Gas Therapeutics has developed an up-to-date device which produces air with a controllable air flow thus allowing to systematically remove heat from the body surface. The CrioJet Air employs air as energy source which comes free of charge and is therefore permanently ready for use by offering a constant oxygen supply. Similar to an air condition system, room air is cooled down and is then blown with up to – 32°C onto the skin using an oxygen hose (also refer to section ‘Technical Specification’). When used appropriately, local cold injuries can be eliminated.
Application
As opposed to traditional devices used in physical medicine, CrioMed instruments are characterized by an increased air discharge speed.
They are the ideal means for rapid cooling of the skin surface while applying laser treatment at the same time.
This results in:
* No transmission losses due to optical interface
* No transmission losses due to cryo-spray mist
* No change of the laser beam profile
* Constant temperature level
* No follow-up costs
* Eliminates use of EMLA cream
* The energy emitted by the laser is applied to the skin without any losses
